With an total planting area of about 30,000 mu,the expected total output will reach approximately 30,000 tons.The percentage of malformed fruit increased for the cold weather lasts longer than the previous year.

2008 crop of strawberry is being purchased at present.

　The material purchased in early period of time is mainly fresh strawberry which is used for domestic sales in large supermarkets or stores.

　The quantity purchased daily is relatively small. Daily purchased quantity is around 3 tons.
　Because of factors such as large difference in day-night temperature, illumination and so on, the characteristics of strawberries in early period are of large size, low sugar ratio, high hardness, high acidity and good shape.
　The quantity and price proper for export will at middle of March. Quotation will be forwarded to buyer once time is ok. （Feb,21,2008）

New variety of strawberry (white strawberry) has been successfully developed in Japan.

　 White strawberry has been developed in Japan recently by Japanese agronomist. They were sold in a bakery. Germchit company has been applying for registration.（Jan,12,2008）
